About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern position at The Buckle, Inc. focuses on retail operations, merchandising, and leadership development. You will work closely with the Store Manager to understand how the business functions and gain hands-on experience in retail management. This is a paid, full-time, on-site role located in Bristol, Tennessee.
What you'll do#
- Perform sales, merchandising, and operational tasks including cashiering and store maintenance.
- Complete specific sections of the Buckle Management Manual covering Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing and Hiring.
- Manage a designated product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking performance results.
- Open and close cash registers, count money, and balance cash drawers.
- Develop core skills in recruiting, merchandising, and team leadership.
- Provide weekly progress reports to the Area and District Managers.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Business Administration or Marketing.
- Ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
- Flexibility to work a schedule that includes mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
