About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern role focuses on learning the retail business from the ground up. You will work closely with store management to understand operations while contributing to a positive shopping experience for guests. This is a paid, on-site internship with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Perform sales, merchandising, and operational tasks including cashiering and store maintenance.
- Complete modules from the Buckle Management Manual covering orientation, leadership, and hiring.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking results.
- Provide weekly progress reports to the Area and District Managers.
- Lead the team by using the Performance Tracker to monitor department goals.
- Participate in monthly conference calls and complete assigned projects.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program at a four-year college or university, specifically in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management.
- An interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs in the store and backroom.
- No prior experience or training is required for this position.
