About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern position focuses on learning the retail business from the ground up. You will work closely with the Store Manager to understand how Buckle operates while gaining hands-on experience in leadership, merchandising, and sales. This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling term and no sponsorship available.
What you'll do#
- Complete key sections of the Buckle Management Manual covering teammate orientation, leadership, and the hiring process.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating your teammates, and tracking performance results.
- Lead and motivate the team by using the Performance Tracker to monitor specific company tools.
- Perform daily operational tasks including cashiering, processing freight, and maintaining merchandise displays.
- Provide weekly progress reports and updates to the Area and District Managers.
- Participate in monthly conference calls and complete all required internship assignments.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management from a four-year college or university.
- No prior retail experience or training is required for this role.
- You have an interest in a long-term commitment with Buckle.
- You are physically able to lift and maneuver 50 lbs throughout the store and backroom.
Location & details#
- This role is based on-site in Clearwater, Florida.
- The position requires a flexible schedule that includes mornings, evenings, and weekends, as well as availability during the holidays.
