About the role#
We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our Enterprise Data and Analytics team. This co-op role focuses on cloud-based data platforms, AI/ML operations, and Generative AI solutions. You will gain hands-on experience working with modern data stacks and AI frameworks within an Agile environment.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and AI/ML workflows.
- Ingest, transform, and orchestrate data using Python, PySpark, and SQL.
- Develop and test AI agents and intelligent workflows to improve automation.
- Design and optimize prompts and workflows using LLMs and GenAI frameworks.
- Prepare datasets for reporting, forecasting, and advanced analytics models.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot pipeline failures, and address data quality gaps.
- Support MLOps tasks, including deployment, testing, and automation.
- Create technical documentation, runbooks, and workflows.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies like sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, AI/ML, or a related field.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, PySpark, ETL/ELT processes, and APIs.
- Familiarity with tools such as Databricks, Snowflake, Azure, ADLS, ADF, Power BI, or Git.
- Experience or interest in LLMs, GenAI, Agentic AI, MLOps, or CI/CD practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
