About the role#
This internship provides an 11-week experience within the Investment Management team at The Cigna Group. You will work on real business challenges and gain exposure to the management business, clients, products, and strategy. The program is designed to build skills for your early career through hands-on assignments across areas such as alternative investments, fixed income, portfolio management, and public securities.
What you'll do#
- Complete challenging assignments across various investment products and groups.
- Receive one-on-one learning and mentorship from investment professionals.
- Gain visibility with senior management.
- Engage in community service outreach opportunities.
- Work on real business challenges to support the management of employee benefits and shareholder portfolios.
What you'll need#
- Progressing towards a bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years completed.
- Pursuing a major in Business Administration, Economics, or Finance.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership experience through student organizations, athletics, or community involvement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent academic credentials.
- Eligibility for employment in the United States without the need for visa support.
Location & details#
- Location: Bloomfield, Connecticut.
- Term: Summer 2027, starting May 24, 2027.
- Modality: Hybrid, with a requirement to be in-office at least three days per week.
- Compensation: Paid internship at an hourly rate of $25 to $28 per hour.
- Employment Status: Full-time.
