About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to explore how accounting, technology, and risk management intersect within a large healthcare company. You will gain hands-on experience with enterprise systems and internal controls while working alongside experienced professionals. This is a full-time, paid summer internship for 2027.
What you'll do#
- Participate in IT control walkthroughs and audit discussions to understand how technology risks are managed.
- Support projects related to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and System and Organization Controls (SOC) compliance.
- Collaborate with internal audit, compliance, and technology teams to see how controls support business objectives.
- Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives to increase efficiency.
- Analyze information and identify trends to help teams reduce risk and enhance processes.
What you'll need#
- Standing as a rising junior pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal formats.
- Capability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to changing priorities.
- A collaborative mindset for working in a team environment.
Location & details#
- Location: Franklin, Tennessee.
- Modality: Hybrid schedule, with three days per week in the office and two days remote.
- Term: Summer 2027, running from May 24 through July 30, 2027.
- Compensation: $23.00 to $25.00 per hour.
- Work Authorization: Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
