About the role#
The College of Health Care Professions is hiring a full-time Externship Coordinator for the LMRT program in Fort Worth. You will connect students, faculty, and healthcare partners to create clinical experiences that lead to employment. This role focuses on building relationships within the medical community and ensuring students successfully transition from the classroom to the workforce.
What you'll do#
- Recruit and maintain externship sites to support student placements.
- Build relationships with medical providers to expand site options.
- Ensure at least 40% of externship students are hired by their placement sites.
- Monitor compliance with federal, state, TWC, and accreditation standards.
- Track student progress, manage records, and conduct final exit evaluations.
- Serve as a liaison between students, faculty, and site supervisors.
- Conduct weekly site visits and lead externship orientations.
- Support students with career readiness tasks like resume building and interview preparation.
- Counsel students on professional expectations and attendance.
- Collaborate with Career Services to improve graduate employment outcomes.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or GED.
- Current ARRT, RT, or LMRT certification.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet performance targets.
- Experience in coordination, relationship-building, or healthcare settings is preferred.
