    About the role#

    The Pharmacy Technician Externship Coordinator manages the externship program for students at The College of Health Care Professions. You will build and maintain a network of externship sites, support student progress through site visits, and help students transition into their careers. This role requires you to reside in Texas.

    What you'll do#

    • Secure and manage externship sites that align with program goals.
    • Visit externship sites to evaluate student performance and maintain partner relationships.
    • Work with Career Services and Placement teams to help students find full-time employment.
    • Teach and manage the online externship course.
    • Provide one-on-one tutoring for students at risk of failing their board exam.
    • Guide students on professionalism, attendance, and career readiness.
    • Maintain documentation such as timecards, evaluations, and affiliation agreements.

    What you'll need#

    • An Associates Degree.
    • At least 3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail, hospital, or specialty pharmacy.
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience coordinating externships, clinical placements, or student training initiatives.
    • Proficiency in curriculum delivery and learning management systems (LMS).
