About the role#
The Externship Coordinator for the LMRT program manages the placement and monitoring of students at clinical sites. You will report to the Campus President and work to build relationships within the medical community. The goal is to ensure students gain experience and that at least 40 percent of them secure employment at their externship location. This is a full-time position with a hybrid schedule involving both on-site work and remote tasks.
What you'll do#
- Secure and monitor externship sites for LMRT students.
- Build and maintain partnerships with clinical supervisors.
- Conduct regular site visits and keep in touch with supervisors.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards.
- Manage student records including timesheets, evaluations, and surveys.
- Lead externship orientation sessions.
- Act as the bridge between students, faculty, and clinical sites.
- Help students with resumes, interview preparation, and professional development.
- Work with Career Services to improve graduate employment outcomes.
- Update affiliation agreements and log data in CampusVue.
- Provide counseling to students and conduct final exit reviews.
What you'll need#
- Completion of an LMRT program or certificate with 3 or more years of related experience, or an Associate degree in Radiologic Technology with 2 or more years of experience.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Experience building professional relationships with clinical partners.
- Familiarity with accreditation and regulatory standards.
- Experience using student tracking databases, with a preference for CampusVue.
