About the role#
This internship offers a hands-on introduction to the green industry. You will work in the field alongside experienced arborists, climbers, and plant health care technicians. The program focuses on practical skill building and provides exposure to the daily operations and business management components of a residential tree care office.
What you'll do#
- Perform tree pruning, removal, cabling, bracing, and general maintenance.
- Assist with tree and landscape installation projects.
- Operate field equipment safely, including chainsaws and chippers.
- Manage plant health through deep root fertilization, soil care, and integrated pest and disease management.
- Develop fundamentals in client service, sales, and leadership.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program for Arboriculture, Urban Forestry, Natural Resources, Horticulture, Landscape Design, Forestry, or a related discipline.
- A valid driver’s license.
- A positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a genuine interest in proper plant care.
- Reliability and the ability to report to work on time.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
