About the role#
As an Information Security Intern, you will help protect the technology environment and financial market infrastructure at DTCC. You will join the CISO organization to gain hands-on experience with security operations, risk management, threat detection, and compliance. This is a 10-week summer program that includes training, mentorship, and team-based project work.
What you'll do#
- Assist with cybersecurity risk assessments, security reviews, and control evaluations to identify and mitigate risks.
- Support security operations by monitoring alerts, reviewing events, and contributing to incident response.
- Collaborate with CISO teams, infrastructure partners, and application developers to strengthen security controls.
- Prepare security documentation, metrics, dashboards, and status updates for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Support vulnerability management, access management, and security awareness activities by tracking remediation and analyzing data.
- Research emerging threats and industry trends to help protect critical financial systems.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, MIS, Technology Management, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date in Fall 2027 or Summer 2028.
- A minimum GPA of 3.2.
- Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, IT risk, networking, cloud, operating systems, or identity and access management.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
