About the role#
This is a hands-on internship for Summer 2027. You will work with experienced engineers on projects that improve Great Lakes ports, harbors, and navigation systems. You will gain practical experience in waterfront inspections, hydrographic surveying, dredging support, and construction observation while applying your classroom knowledge to real infrastructure projects.
What you'll do#
- Work with team members on project deliverables in dredging, environmental permitting, and civil and coastal engineering.
- Conduct topographic and hydrographic surveys plus 3D drone scans alongside certified team members.
- Assist with structural inspections and construction oversight.
- Support design work using AutoCAD.
- Prepare local, state, and federal permit documents.
- Assist with data management and report preparation.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a similar field from an ABET-accredited program.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.

- This is a paid, full-time internship.
- Work will be performed on-site.
- Available locations include Green Bay, Wisconsin and Madison, Wisconsin.
