About the role#
We are looking for an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Intern to join our manufacturing facility in Marysville, Ohio. This is a full-time, paid position that offers exposure to EHS operations across a manufacturing environment. Interns work on projects for 12 weeks and have the opportunity to learn from industry leaders. We accept students for Fall, Spring, or Summer terms.
What you'll do#
- Assist with health and safety identification and inspections throughout the facility.
- Conduct safety compliance audits.
- Help develop and review Job Task Hazard Analyses (JTHA), PPE analysis, and standard operating procedures.
- Support the Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) program through procedure auditing and training standardization.
- Create and organize EHS training, documentation, and awareness materials using digital platforms.
- Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Support the implementation of safety programs such as Confined Space, Fall Protection, and Combustible Dust.
- Compile data for chemical inventories, air pollution control equipment, and emission sources.
- Assist with environmental permit reporting and responding to environmental concerns.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college, university, or trade school.
- Pursuing a degree in Environmental Engineering, Health Administration, Biology, Public Health, or Biomedical Engineering.
- Strong analytical and leadership skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while remaining detail-oriented.
- Prior internship experience is preferred but not required.
