About the role#
We are looking for Engineering Co-Ops to join our team in Tyler, Texas. This is a full-time, paid position requiring a commitment of 6-8 consecutive months, available in either the January-August or May-December term. You will work on-site Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Fridays. Successful candidates may have the opportunity to interview for full-time roles upon completion of the program.
What you'll do#
Your specific responsibilities will depend on your assigned area, which may include Product, Manufacturing, Quality, or Electrical Engineering. You will work on tasks such as:
- Analyzing large customer use profile data to improve product value.
- Improving designs based on manufacturability.
- Leading cross-functional teams on quality initiatives.
- Researching new opportunities for our specials portfolio.
- Analyzing updates to industry standards and codes.
- Developing job breakdown sheets and analyzing production times.
- Implementing manufacturing process improvements like metal forming, fabrication, and CNC operations.
- Assisting with capital equipment purchases and business case support.
- Supporting product performance testing.
- Developing and documenting quality systems for new and existing products.
- Partnering with Internal Audit to improve processes.
- Troubleshooting and testing electronic hardware.
- Reviewing electronic component datasheets to identify cost-effective substitutes.
- Managing and organizing large component pricing spreadsheets.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS program for Mechanical, Electrical, Robotics, Computer, or Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Availability to work full-time for 6-8 consecutive months.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, such as serving as a team captain, resident advisor, or leading work projects.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and prioritize tasks to ensure work is completed efficiently.
- U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

- Location: Tyler, Texas.
- Work Modality: Hybrid (On-site Monday-Thursday, flexible Friday).
- Compensation: $22.50 - $31.00 per hour.
- Relocation: A $3,500 relocation/housing stipend is provided.
