    About the role#

    The Actuarial Leadership Development Program (ALDP) internship provides a professional work experience for students interested in a career in actuarial science. You will gain insight into the insurance industry through hands-on assignments and networking opportunities with leadership. This is a paid, full-time summer position.

    What you'll do#

    • Perform actuarial tasks across business lines including pricing, reserving, claim, and risk analysis.
    • Use modern analytical and artificial intelligence tools to complete assignments.
    • Apply critical thinking to evaluate the quality and accuracy of AI-assisted outputs.
    • Develop and present solutions to business and actuarial topics, often in collaboration with other interns.
    • Participate in business workshops, work assignments, and social events.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
    • Completion of one or more actuarial exams.
    • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
    • Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater.
    • Suggested majors include Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or Computer Science.

    Location & details#

    • This role is on-site in Hartford, Connecticut, or St. Paul, Minnesota.
    • The program runs from early June through the end of the summer.
    • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
    • Subsidized housing is available for students living beyond a commutable distance.
    • Please note that sponsorship is not provided for this position.
