    About the role#

    As an Aerospace Engineering Intern, you will gain hands-on experience by supporting engineering teams on projects related to flight hardware and launch operations. You will work alongside experienced engineers to complete unique assignments, shadow daily operations, and participate in activities that build your professional network.

    What you'll do#

    • Analyze existing flight hardware and assist in the design of future systems.
    • Perform analysis for completed and future launches.
    • Participate in testing, systems engineering, mission integration, quality assurance, and system safety.
    • Conduct data analysis, trade studies, and design for manufacturer studies.
    • Create or modify tool designs and maintain production work instructions.
    • Process cause and corrective actions for non-conformances.
    • Manage supplier interactions and perform component or integrated systems tests.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or an Engineering field (Aerospace, Computer, Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical).
    • Completion of your Sophomore year by the start of the internship.
    • A minimum cumulative college GPA of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale.
    • Plans to enroll in classes for the Fall 2027 semester.
    • Ability to work full-time for at least 10 weeks during Summer 2027.
    • Working knowledge of MATLAB, LabVIEW, Mathcad, NX, Creo, or CFD software.
    • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
    • Status as a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR 22 CFR 120.62.

    Location & details#

    • This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship for Summer 2027.
    • Locations include Denver, CO; Pueblo, CO; Cape Canaveral, FL; Decatur, AL; and Vandenberg, CA.
    • A valid driver’s license and motorized vehicle transportation are required for assignments in AL, CA, FL, and Pueblo, CO. Transportation is recommended for Denver, CO.
