About the role#
Momentive is hiring a Manufacturing Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on-site at our Waterford, New York facility to support our reliability, project engineering, or production teams. This role provides hands-on experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Optimize manufacturing processes, improve product quality, and increase operational efficiency.
- Work on reliability tasks to reduce downtime and operational costs.
- Lead a small capital project from initial design through to final commissioning.
- Support larger capital investment projects to gain experience with the full project lifecycle.
- Track product waste, manage packaging expansions, and monitor critical equipment.
- Use industry-standard software such as SAP and Team Guru to manage projects and financial processes.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program for Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week for 10-12 weeks between May and August.
- A working knowledge of project management principles is a plus.
