About the role#
As an Industrial Engineering Intern at United Launch Alliance, you will work on-site in Cape Canaveral, Florida. This full-time summer 2027 internship provides hands-on experience by supporting experienced engineers on launch systems. You will participate in daily engineering operations, shadow actual work, and contribute to projects that support our broader mission.
What you'll do#
- Lead projects through objective development, data gathering, analysis, and standardization.
- Perform trade studies, software improvement projects, and design for manufacturer studies.
- Create or modify tool designs and maintain production work instructions.
- Manage suppliers and assist with component or integrated systems tests.
- Process cause and corrective actions for non-conformances.
- Perform field engineering tasks on launch systems.
What you'll need#
- Completed Sophomore year of college by the start of the internship.
- Actively pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering or a related STEM field.
- Minimum college GPA of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale.
- Plans to be enrolled in classes during the Fall 2027 semester.
- Ability to work full-time for at least 10 weeks during the summer.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis, production control, material handling, and facility planning.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR regulations.

- Requires a valid driver's license and access to motorized vehicle transportation.
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
