About the role#
University Enterprises, Inc. is hiring a Student Assistant for the Accounts Receivable branch. This is a part-time, temporary position based in Sacramento. You will work in an office environment to support daily administrative operations. The schedule is flexible, Monday through Friday between 8 AM and 5 PM, with hours up to 24 per week during the academic year and up to 40 hours during breaks.
What you'll do#
- Prepare DMV search request forms to obtain addresses for abatement claims.
- Create abatement invoices and assemble complete invoice packages.
- Manage filing, record maintenance, and the distribution of daily mail and emails.
- Track collection efforts using MS Word or Excel.
- Prepare correspondence for debtors.
- Answer the Accounts Receivable hotline and direct customer calls.
- Support special projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a college student at an accredited institution.
- Major in Accounting.
- Minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA.
- Enrollment in at least six-semester units or nine quarter units for undergraduates.
- Proficiency with MS Office.
- Ability to learn accounting procedures and communicate clearly.
- Ability to sit for extended periods and use standard office equipment like computers, telephones, and scanners.
