About the role#
The Office of Water Programs at Sacramento State is hiring a graphic design student to assist our design team. You will support a diverse range of projects, working alongside engineers, developers, and project staff to translate technical concepts into visual assets. This is a part-time, temporary, student position.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with staff to create figures, infographics, and visualizations from engineering concepts.
- Produce schematics, charts, graphs, and other vector graphics for reports and presentations.
- Design multi-page layouts for newsletters, publications, and forms.
- Develop visual identities and marks for internal and external initiatives.
- Perform photo post-production and retouching tasks.
- Assist the design team throughout the full project lifecycle from concept to production.
What you'll need#
- You must be an undergraduate student currently enrolled at an accredited college or university.
- You must be a Graphic Design or Design Studies major.
- A minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA is required.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and the ability to work on the Windows platform are required.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
Location & details#
- Location: Sacramento, California.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Flexible hours between 8 AM and 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
- Compensation: $22.00 per hour.
