About the role#
Cal Poly Pomona Enterprises is hiring a Student Research Assistant to support a project titled The Architecture of Polarization: How Our Buildings and Builders Shape our Politics. You will work under the direction of Dr. Aaron Cayer to visualize data regarding political contributions from architecture, engineering, and construction firms.
What you'll do#
- Design, build, and launch a website to display research data.
- Create clear reports and visuals to communicate research findings.
- Collaborate with other student assistants to meet grant deadlines.
- Maintain a regular work schedule, which may include some evenings and weekends.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate or graduate student status in any major.
- Experience designing and building websites that present data in a visual format.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Pomona, California (on-site).
- Pay: $21.00 per hour.
- Schedule: 5 to 10 hours per week.
- Term: Up to 9 months, rolling start.
