About the role#
The Seidenberg School is looking for a student to join the Digital Forensics Research Laboratory. You will assist students who want to enter the cybersecurity field and conduct your own research in digital forensics. You will also provide support for the Seidenberg Cyber Range when needed.
What you'll do#
- Mentor students interested in cybersecurity careers.
- Conduct research projects focused on digital forensics.
- Assist with operations at the Seidenberg Cyber Range.
What you'll need#
- Experience with tools such as Wireshark, BurpSuite, Celebrite, Magnet Axiom, SANS SIFT, Ghidra, or FTK.
- Proficiency in Linux and Python.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science.
- Participation in ethical hacking or relevant cybersecurity certifications are preferred.
Location & details#
- This role is based in New York, NY.
- Work is on-site.
- This is a paid position for students.
- You may work up to 20 hours per week during the semester and up to 35 hours per week during breaks.
- Hiring is on a rolling basis.
