About the role#
The Housing Operations Student Assistant provides administrative support to the department at Pace University. This role involves managing office tasks and interacting with students and guests. You will work on-site in New York.
What you'll do#
- Greet visitors and answer questions about department procedures.
- Manage a high volume of phone calls and take messages for staff.
- Handle clerical tasks including filing, photocopying, shredding, and sending faxes.
- Assist with various department projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Federal Work Study eligibility.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull light objects like boxes or supplies.
- A patient and reliable approach when working with visitors.
- Ability to work independently.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration or Communications.

- Location: New York, NY.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Maximum of 20 hours per week during the school term and up to 35 hours during breaks.
- Compensation: This is a paid position.
