About the role#
The Communications & Engagement Student Assistant supports the marketing, storytelling, and event efforts of the Gosin Center at the Pleasantville campus. You will help amplify programs like the Gosin Network Scholars Program and the Fireside Chat Series through digital content and on-site event support. This role is a pre-professional opportunity for students interested in marketing, communications, or community engagement.
What you'll do#
- Manage and curate content for social media platforms including Instagram and TikTok.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and maintain a content calendar.
- Design digital flyers, graphics, and promotional materials using Canva.
- Capture photos and short-form video content during events.
- Assist with event set-up, breakdown, and on-site logistics.
- Represent the Gosin Center professionally at campus events.
What you'll need#
- Work-study eligibility is required.
- Proficiency in Instagram, TikTok, and Canva.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Comfort creating short-form video content.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Reliability and organizational skills.
- An interest in marketing, communications, or higher education.
Location & details#
- Location: Pleasantville, New York.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Schedule: To be determined with your supervisor. You may work up to 20 hours per week during the school session and up to 35 hours per week during breaks.
- This is a paid position.
