About the role#
The Radiologic Health Branch of the California Department of Public Health is hiring five student assistants to provide administrative support. This is a part-time, temporary position based in Sacramento. You will work directly with staff to help manage daily unit operations.
What you'll do#
- Answer phones and respond to inquiries from the public.
- Collect and analyze data.
- Input information into databases and maintain electronic records and directories.
- Create forms, spreadsheets, and various office documents.
- Handle verbal and email requests from staff.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a college student at an accredited institution.
- A declared major in Accounting, Business Administration, Chemistry, English, Journalism, or Environmental Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and writing skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Sacramento, California.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Flexible hours between 8 AM and 5 PM, Monday through Friday, up to 24 hours per week.
- Compensation: $17.50 per hour.
- Status: Paid, non-benefited position.
