About the role#
The University of Central Florida is hiring a full-time Executive Director and Assistant, Associate or Professor of Medicine to lead Student Health Services. This role combines administrative leadership with clinical practice. You will oversee the strategic direction, budget, and operations of the health center while maintaining accreditation standards and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
What you'll do#
- Formulate, develop, and supervise all areas of Student Health Services, including personnel and budget planning.
- Chair the Student Health Services Executive Council and the Performance Improvement Committee.
- Lead the department through emergency response situations and coordinate responses to infectious disease threats.
- Establish operational policies and ensure adherence to HIPAA, FERPA, and other legal mandates.
- Provide direct clinical services to patients and offer consultative support to medical staff.
- Engage in frequent internal and external collaborations with university partners and campus stakeholders.
- Direct studies for program analysis to manage resources and improve service delivery.
What you'll need#
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited institution.
- A valid license to practice medicine in the State of Florida.
- A minimum of five years of professional experience in a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in college health leadership or administration.
- A strong understanding of higher education dynamics and the ability to foster cross-functional partnerships.
