About the role#
As a Design Drafter Intern, you will work with our drafting team to gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. You will work alongside engineers to develop technical skills and contribute to project goals. This role involves exposure to multiple areas of the business and interaction with senior leaders.
What you'll do#
- Determine necessary changes, corrections, and requirements for project needs.
- Create sketches to assist other designers and drafters.
- Interpret specifications and standards to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Communicate with customers to resolve specification questions.
- Collaborate with team members to develop shop drawings and provide input on projects.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Drafting and Design or Industrial Design.
- Proficiency with CAD software, including design applications and the ability to convert drawings to 3D models.
- Skills in Microsoft Office programs like Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

- Location: Valley, Nebraska.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Availability: Winter 2027 and Summer 2027 terms.
- Status: This is a paid, full-time position.
