About the role#
The Victaulic Summer Internship is a three month program that provides a practical look at working in the industrial machinery manufacturing industry. You will work directly with your supervisor and team members on projects that impact the department and the business. We focus on balancing mentorship and skill development with a challenging workload. You will be matched to a department based on your major and career interests.
What you'll do#
- Create 3D virtual models for testing and revise Solidworks drawings.
- Develop hand and machine tools, including prototypes.
- Work on power electronics, embedded controls, and automated systems using PLCs, VFDs, and vision systems.
- Participate in product development, testing in the Research and Development Lab, and product assembly.
- Focus on Lean Manufacturing, process improvement, Kanban, and scrap reduction.
- Design fixtures and program robots.
- Develop insulation methods and control fluid output in piping systems.
- Perform customer support and root cause analysis.
- Design products to accommodate movement in piping systems and provide pre-assembled piping installation systems.
- Enhance the performance of existing products.
What you'll need#
- You must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- You must be at least a rising Junior in college.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- An interest in contributing to a team environment.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is on-site at our facilities in Easton, Alburtis, Nazareth, or Allentown, Pennsylvania.
- This position does not offer sponsorship.
