About the role#
We are looking for students to join our water resources engineering group. You will work with project teams on public water and drainage projects. This includes commercial development design, hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, FEMA studies, roadway drainage design, and flood warning system development. You are also eligible to participate in our in-house staff development program.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with project teams on public infrastructure and drainage projects.
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses.
- Support commercial development assessments and designs.
- Engage in professional development through our internal program.
What you'll need#
- A BS in Civil Engineering or currently completing related coursework.
- A sound technical background with strong written and oral communication skills.
- Understanding of basic hydrologic and hydraulic principles.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
- Availability for at least 20 hours per week, with flexible schedules negotiable.
- Experience with HEC-RAS (1D/2D), HEC-HMS, SWMM5, or ArcGIS is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, on-site internship.
- Available locations include Houston, Dallas, and Fort Worth, Texas.
- We are not offering visa sponsorship for this role.
