About the role#
As a Nuclear Engineering Intern, you will support engineering activities related to nuclear reactor systems, core design, fuel management, and plant operations. You will gain hands-on experience by applying nuclear engineering principles to commercial projects. You will report to the department manager.
What you'll do#
- Help with nuclear design calculations and analyses.
- Support reactor core design and fuel management activities.
- Analyze engineering data and simulation results.
- Participate in nuclear engineering training and seminars.
- Support technical report development.
- Assist engineering teams with design solutions.
- Contribute to project planning and execution efforts.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in nuclear engineering.
- Completed Sophomore year of college.
- Interest in reactor physics, nuclear systems, or fuel design.
Location & details#
- Locations: Rock Hill, SC and Columbia, SC.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May through August).
- Work Modality: Hybrid or on-site.
- Employment: Full-time and paid.
