About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in manufacturing and metal recycling. You will work on projects assigned by leadership to gain insight into international business and copper circularity. This is a full-time, paid position based in Shelbyville, Kentucky.
What you'll do#
- Help establish standards for quality control, testing, equipment maintenance, and operating procedures.
- Complete an individual project in areas such as furnace operations, casting, packaging, shred-sort, slagging, or waste water treatment.
- Assist with the planning, design, and implementation of capital projects.
- Learn about global metal recycling and copper circularity through practical application.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Experience with CAD software is a plus.
- Ability to work in a hands-on environment and communicate effectively across different levels of the organization.
