About the role#
Williams International is hiring engineering interns for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Pontiac, Michigan. You will work across various engineering disciplines to support the development and manufacturing of jet engines for military and commercial aircraft.
What you'll do#
Interns are assigned to specific engineering areas based on their background and project needs. You will contribute to technical tasks such as:
- Designing mechanical systems, creating 3D models, and performing structural analysis.
- Analyzing aerodynamic performance and fluid flow requirements.
- Modeling engine cycles and comparing thermodynamic data.
- Developing and troubleshooting electrical and control systems.
- Improving manufacturing processes and conducting quality inspections, including failure investigations.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours, with standing as a junior, senior, or Master's student.
- Current enrollment in an Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, Materials Science, Chemical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Civil Engineering program.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.

This position is located on-site in Pontiac, Michigan. The internship is a paid, full-time commitment for the summer of 2027.
