About the role#
This summer internship offers a 10-week opportunity to support the Investment division at WoodmenLife. You will contribute to both routine and project-based work, gaining practical exposure to institutional asset management within an insurance company. You will participate in weekly meetings with the Internship Cohort, Executive Leadership, and division leaders to build your professional network and understanding of the organization.
What you'll do#
- Support the Mortgage Loan Annual Servicing Project by reviewing property performance updates for over 500 mortgage loans.
- Enter reviewed property performance data into mortgage servicing software.
- Assist the Securities team in developing and maintaining credit profiles for debt issuers.
- Organize financial and issuer information for investment professionals.
- Conduct strategic analysis of work projects and initiatives.
- Use approved AI tools in an ethical and responsible manner.
- Protect confidential business and financial information.
- Present a capstone project summarizing your accomplishments and skill development.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in college.
- Major in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Ability to work 38.75 hours per week.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with preferred working knowledge of Bloomberg Terminal.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate data entry and documentation.
- Ability to review, organize, and interpret financial information.
- Commitment to S.T.A.R. customer service and a passion for community impact.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and use sound judgment.
