    About the role#

    The Process Safety Summer Internship is part of the Woodside USA Early Career Pathways initiative. This program builds a pipeline of talent for process safety, engineering, and operational assurance roles. You will work on projects focused on identifying, assessing, and managing major accident hazards across energy operations. You will work alongside experienced professionals in engineering, operations, and risk management.

    What you'll do#

    • Support project-based work to manage risks associated with major accident hazards.
    • Gain experience in process hazard analysis, risk assessment, and barrier management.
    • Use tools and methodologies such as HAZOP, LOPA, and bowtie analysis.
    • Assist with incident investigation, emergency response planning, and regulatory compliance tasks.
    • Develop your technical, analytical, and communication skills.

    What you'll need#

    • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Petroleum, Safety, Fire Protection, Industrial, Environmental, or Process Safety Engineering.
    • Rising junior or senior status with a graduation date between Spring 2028 and Spring 2029.
    • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.30.
    • Available for at least twelve consecutive weeks during Summer 2027.
    • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
