About the role#
Worthington Steel is hiring an HR Intern to support our team and facility managers in Valley City, Ohio. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position. You will work on various projects and daily tasks to gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist with benefit administration, including answering employee questions and completing forms.
- Support payroll auditing to help ensure compliance.
- Participate in the recruitment and selection process, from screening to onboarding.
- Coordinate programs such as attendance tracking and recognition awards.
- Handle other duties as assigned by the HR team.
What you'll need#
- Basic knowledge of human resources laws and regulations.
- A focus on customer service and strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and interact with employees at all levels, from production to management.
- Pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or Communications.
