About the role#
Worthington Steel is seeking a Maintenance Intern to join our team in Valley City, Ohio. This role focuses on supporting our Maintenance Department through administrative tasks and inventory management. You will gain professional experience through on-the-job training and daily support functions.
What you'll do#
- Manage the implementation of our Tool Crib.
- Enter and quote parts within our inventory management system.
- Receive, store, and organize incoming parts.
- Assist the Maintenance Planner with administrative and clerical duties to support department operations.
- Maintain records and compile information for management use.
- Respond to inquiries to provide information or direction.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to manage electronic records and perform multiple technical tasks.
- Capability to handle several assignments independently.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with individuals and groups.
