    About the role#

    This is a full-time, paid internship based in Duluth, Georgia, for the summer of 2027. You will work on-site with our Power and Energy team to gain hands-on experience with real projects. The program lasts 12 weeks and begins in May 2027. You will work alongside senior staff to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.

    What you'll do#

    • Apply structural engineering principles to design structures and foundations for substation equipment.
    • Assist with project research, field work, and design analysis.
    • Prepare final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
    • Collect and maintain project documentation.
    • Complete assigned training modules.
    • Follow company policies, including the Code of Conduct and safety procedures.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an accredited undergraduate, master's, or PhD program in Civil Engineering or a related field, with a graduation date of August 2027 or later.
    • Successful completion of junior-level coursework in structural analysis, steel design, or concrete design.
    • Ability to take direction from mentors and managers.
    • Basic proficiency with technical writing, office software, and spreadsheets.
    • Strong communication skills and a desire to learn.
    • Prior internship or campus leadership experience.
    • Must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States.
