About the role#
As a Health and Benefits Intern, you will work alongside strategic consultants on real client assignments. This role provides exposure to data analysis, project management, and industry consulting. You will support projects involving plan design, vendor management, and financial strategy.
What you'll do#
- Perform renewal analysis, negotiation, financial analyses, and budget projections.
- Develop pricing for alternative design features and create employee contribution strategies.
- Model plan design alternatives and calculate reserves.
- Complete actuarial work including assumption studies, claims analyses, and valuations.
- Analyze and compare vendor products, services, and contracts.
- Design, distribute, and evaluate survey and RFP responses.
- Coordinate with clients on plan management activities.
What you'll need#
- Progress towards a Bachelors degree in business, actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, public health, or related fields with significant quantitative coursework.
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
- Previous work experience demonstrating technical and client service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems, work independently, and collaborate within a team.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills.

- Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
- Terms: Winter, Summer, or Fall 2027.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $34.00 per hour (eligible for overtime).
- Status: Paid, full-time internship.
