About the role#
Young Life Military offers an internship for individuals with a heart to serve and a desire to grow in their faith. Interns work alongside experienced staff at military installations to support Club Beyond. This role focuses on building relationships with military teens, creating community, and modeling a personal example of faith. You will participate in activities such as clubs, Bible studies, and camps while living in the community where you serve.
What you'll do#
- Meet weekly with supervising staff using team agenda tools.
- Lead and conduct Club Beyond club and small group ministry.
- Develop a 90-day personal growth plan for spiritual development.
- Attend Chapel on installation and volunteer leader meetings.
- Meet weekly with one volunteer to discuss their involvement.
- Learn to recruit and train new leaders while building a leadership team.
- Assist with community outreach and lead volunteers for middle and high school youth ministry.
- Raise financial support and communicate monthly updates with personal donor partners.
What you'll need#
- High school graduation at least 2 years prior.
- A deep love for Christ and for teens.
- A teachable heart and strong initiative.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Willingness to raise part of the budget through personal support.
- Commitment to a relational ministry approach.
- Energy and small event planning skills.
- Relevant coursework in Psychology, Sociology, Communications, or Philosophy is helpful.
