About the role#
This Federal Work Study position supports the Accessibility Resources department at the Academy of Art University. You will assist students with disabilities by providing training on assistive technology and note-taking software. The role involves administrative tasks, research, and content creation to help educate the campus community about universal design.
What you'll do#
- Provide onboarding and training to students on assistive technology and the Otter AI note-taking application.
- Research and create resource handouts covering mental health, wellness, time management, and study techniques.
- Design educational materials for the Accessibility Resources department.
- Research, create, and submit social media posts for the department Instagram account.
- Support staff with administrative duties including data entry, word processing, and answering phones.
- Maintain organized files and monitor team communication via Slack.
What you'll need#
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency with both Mac and PC operating systems.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with social media platforms such as Instagram, Discord, and Facebook.
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a remote and onsite team.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Location & details#
- Location: 79 New Montgomery, San Francisco, CA.
- Modality: Hybrid.
- Schedule: 8 to 15 hours per week, not to conflict with class schedules.
- Compensation: $19.61 per hour.
- Status: Federal Work Study, part-time.
