About the role#
As an Assistant Project Manager Intern at Ahern, you will work directly with project managers to support construction operations. This role focuses on hands-on tasks rather than administrative errands. You will contribute to project success while gaining experience in the mechanical and fire protection contracting industry.
What you'll do#
- Assist with estimating takeoff and assembling finished proposals.
- Learn to operate computerized estimating software to create accurate project estimates.
- Manage project phases from requisitioning materials to participating in project meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, Computer, or Aerospace Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Preference for candidates entering their junior year of school.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, along with general computer skills.
- A self-motivated approach and the ability to learn new information quickly.
