About the role#
As an Assistant Project Manager Intern at Ahern, you will gain hands-on experience in the construction industry. You will work directly with Project Managers to support the lifecycle of mechanical and fire protection projects. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship based in Menomonie, Wisconsin.
What you'll do#
- Assist with estimating takeoff and assembling finished project proposals.
- Learn to use computerized estimating software to create accurate project estimates.
- Manage projects through all phases, from initial acquisition to completion.
- Requisition necessary materials for project sites.
- Participate in project meetings to track progress and contribute to team goals.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a Construction Management field.
- You are entering your junior year of school.
- You possess solid computer skills, including knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
- You are self-motivated and focused on customer service.
