    About the role#

    As an HVAC Engineering Intern at Ahern, you will gain hands-on experience by working directly with our engineering team in Madison. This is a paid, full-time position that offers the opportunity to apply your classroom knowledge to real-world mechanical projects. You will be paired with an experienced mentor to guide your professional development.

    What you'll do#

    • Prepare detailed layouts for HVAC projects under the guidance of a mentor.
    • Support engineers with equipment selection and system layout oversight.
    • Provide technical information to the estimating team for bid packages.
    • Participate in the review process for HVAC specification development and control strategies.
    • Contribute engineering input to operations plans for system commissioning and start-up.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
    • Proficiency in MS Office programs.
    • A strong interest in developing your knowledge of mechanical systems.
