About the role#
This internship offers an opportunity to join the Industrial Layout Management team in Mirabel, Quebec. You will contribute to strategic projects within an international aviation environment, working directly with project managers, methods teams, and production line staff. This 4-month role begins on January 6, 2025.
What you'll do#
- Manage multiple small to medium-scale projects at the same time.
- Create and present project schedules to internal clients.
- Support workplace organization and reorganization efforts.
- Develop and update layout drawings using AutoCAD.
- Observe activities on the production floor to gather insights.
- Compile and analyze data to produce reports on improvement opportunities.
- Participate in the development of standard team methodologies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university program for Industrial Engineering or Automated Manufacturing Engineering.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD software.
- Advanced French language skills.
- A professional, punctual, and autonomous approach to work.
- Genuine interest in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and process improvement.
- Ability to work well in a team and interact effectively with diverse groups of people.
