    About the role#

    This is a full-time co-op position for the Fall 2026 term. You will join the VSE strategic marketing group to work on patterning and implant applications in semiconductor fabrication. This role requires you to be on-site in Gloucester, Massachusetts, for a duration of 6 to 9 months starting in September 2026.

    What you'll do#

    • Collaborate with implant material processing groups and assist with process demonstrations.
    • Participate in development projects involving wafer processing and present updates in group meetings.
    • Measure wafers, model and simulate processes, analyze results, and document your findings.
    • Support process engineering through procurement, shipping samples, and tracking inventory.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a Doctoral degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related semiconductor field.
    • Good academic standing with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale.
    • Hands-on expertise with thin film materials characterization techniques.
    • Familiarity with modeling methodologies such as FEM and Monte Carlo simulations.
    • TCAD experience is highly preferred.

    • Location: Gloucester, Massachusetts.
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Compensation: $41 to $50 per hour.
    • Status: Full-time intern position.
