    About the role#

    Applied Materials is seeking a Data Analyst Intern to join the Global Technical Learning Center in Albany, New York. You will support our operations team by collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data to help inform business decisions. This role involves turning complex data sets into clear insights and visual presentations that support our technical training programs.

    What you'll do#

    • Gather raw data from digital systems, ensuring accuracy by removing errors and duplicates.
    • Apply statistical methods to identify trends and patterns within datasets.
    • Create visualization dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
    • Present actionable insights to management and stakeholders to support recurring reporting.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a Bachelors or Masters degree program in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or a data engineering discipline.
    • Proficiency in SQL, Python, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and PowerPoint.
    • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to perform root cause analysis.
    • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Familiarity with Copilot or generative AI tools is considered a plus.

    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Employment Type: Full-time internship.
    • Travel: Approximately 10% of the time.
