    About the role#

    The Ecological Engineering Intern supports environmental projects under the supervision of senior ecologists. You will gain practical experience in ecological fieldwork, wetlands evaluations, and regulatory processes. This role involves a mix of office tasks and outdoor field work in Orlando.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist with ecological field investigations including wetlands delineations, protected species observations, and natural habitat assessments.
    • Collect, document, and organize field data, including preparing and transcribing field notes.
    • Support the preparation of technical memoranda, reports, and documentation regarding environmental impacts, biological evaluations, and regulatory compliance.
    • Perform basic GIS/GPS data collection and assist with processing field data.
    • Assist with upland and wetland evaluations and environmental assessments.
    • Review project documentation and drawings.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, Natural Resources, Physical Sciences, or a related field.
    • 0 to 1 years of relevant experience.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Ability to work in outdoor and sometimes challenging field conditions.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

    • Modality: On-site.
    • This is a paid, full-time internship position with a rolling term.
