About the role#
Ardurra is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineering Intern for the summer 2027 term. You will support engineering assignments on projects for municipalities and public agencies. This role provides exposure to real world engineering work to help you build technical skills and explore a career in the civil engineering industry.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the design and analysis of water/wastewater treatment facilities, distribution systems, and collection networks.
- Prepare engineering drawings, reports, technical memoranda, and specifications.
- Conduct hydraulic modeling, engineering calculations, and material quantity take-offs.
- Participate in field investigations, field tests, measurements, and site inspections.
- Support permitting, regulatory compliance documentation, and project scheduling efforts.
- Contact vendors to obtain budgetary quotes and assist in developing construction cost estimates.
- Review design drawings for accuracy and adherence to standards.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Bluebeam, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and work ethic.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team of professionals.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, GIS, and hydraulic modeling software is preferred.
