About the role#
As a Renewables Engineering Intern, you will work with experienced engineers to support projects that improve the performance, reliability, and sustainability of renewable energy generation. This role offers hands-on experience in the power generation industry and contributes to clean energy solutions.
What you'll do#
- Analyze engineering data to identify opportunities for improved equipment performance.
- Contribute to engineering projects focused on renewable generation systems.
- Participate in site visits to gain firsthand exposure to renewable energy operations.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to support various initiatives.
- Perform simple to intermediate analysis and designs.
- Assist in preparing business and engineering plans, specifications, cost estimates, and technical studies.
- Conduct investigations and summarize findings in reports or presentations.
- Coordinate efforts with other disciplines and departments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program for Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Demonstrated academic success and achievement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- A genuine interest in renewable energy, sustainability, and power generation.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Phoenix, Arizona.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: Hybrid, with approximately 40% of time spent working in-person.
- Status: Full-time, paid internship.
- Note: This position requires Critical Infrastructure Protection access consistent with NERC standards, which includes a seven-year criminal history background check.
