About the role#
Auto-Owners Insurance is hiring a Claims Representative Intern for the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, paid position based in Little Rock, Arkansas. You will learn how to handle insurance claims and support our policyholders during their time of need.
What you'll do#
- Investigate claims by phone, mail, and on-site visits.
- Gather facts, determine policy coverage, and evaluate the total loss.
- Analyze legal liability to decide if a claim should be paid or denied.
- Issue payments accurately and on time.
- Study insurance policies, forms, and endorsements to build your knowledge.
- Help resolve claims, which may involve attending mediations, arbitrations, depositions, or trials.
- Service the needs of our agents and policyholders.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a college program as an incoming junior or senior.
- A major in Business Administration.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple assignments at once.
- A detail-oriented approach to your work.
- Skill in resolving complex issues and interpreting data.
- You must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
